Process & Warranty
Cylinder Head Rebuilding Process
1. Initial Inspection: As a unit comes to our shop, we give it an initial inspection to determine whether there is any reason the head should not proceed to rebuilding. This quickly catches problems such as cracks, casting damage and other conditions that would halt the process for that casting.
2. Teardown: The cylinder head is fully disassembled, which reveals other areas of potential damage to the casting. The parts and the head are separated and go through different cleaning processes.
3. Cleaning: Cast iron heads are cleaned in a thermal cleaning system — baked at 600° to reduce grease and oil to ash, then put through a steel-shot machine for a brilliant finish. Aluminum heads are baked at a lower temperature or put through a high-pressure wash, then glass-beaded.
4. Head Inspection: After cleaning, heads are pressure tested or Magnafluxed to find any cracks. All bolt holes, valve guides, valve seats and other areas are inspected for broken bolts, broken taps, cracked guides and other impairments. Straightness and cam bore wear are also checked.
5. Machining: All heads have guides installed to meet OE conditions and are resurfaced to far exceed factory specifications for surface finish. A three-angle valve job achieves valve seat runout under .001". Valves are ground for a perfect seal between valve and seat.
6. Assembly: New OE-style valve guide seals are installed. Springs are tested for proper seat pressure. Valve seat sealing is vacuum-checked for an airtight fit. Lifters are bled and rebuilt for zero lash after startup. Cams are polished and clearances are checked twice to meet OE oil clearances.
7. Final Inspection: Every head is visually inspected — surface finish, lash, bolt holes and all other areas — to ensure a quality cylinder head.

- Gasket set supplied for reinstallation.
- Labor calculated from book time at $25.00 per hour, up to a maximum of 10 hours.

Remaining 9 months:
- Repair or replacement of the cylinder head.

A lot of you knuckle dragging **** wits need an attitude change, and if you have a room temperature IQ you've probably Google'd Allied Motor **** and looked up the owners replies. Well guess what, the owner was right. Who'd have figured an idiot with a wrench and a credit card could buy remanned motor parts? Evidently, not the majority of you.
SERIOUS:
I'm a 20 year mechanic, Navy veteran and form repair parts officer for my construction command. So I **** know how to order parts. I was replacing sparks on my ex-wife's Mazda (sky activ, dumb **** stupid over engineering), and the over the fender fix failed. Easiest solution was a $500 remanned head from Allied. I Google'd, figured I'm smarter than some **** in the 2010's, and called Dirk (Derk, Derick? **** dude I'm sorry, you're a gangster and somehow the only person I've actually reached through customer service. So like, take a vacation man).
First through email, then through phone. I had all data, vin, everything. Dude told me to look at the engine. I was like yeah, I'm dumb. We got the part number and verified fitment and stock within like, 13 seconds. Man is an android.
I was way ahead of myself, like, way. The remanned head hit my door in like **** 4 days, which honestly, I'm pissed about. I was expecting the 7-10 or whatever and so I had mentally had some time to do a few things. My FedEx driver comes hauling this **** up, pissed off, and I'm like yeah dude me too. **** Dirk (DERCK? DURKK???) told me it'd be like two weeks and it was here almost overnight.
ALRIGHT. Queue me rebuilding like 4 weeks later, my dumb **** reaches out to support again asking if I'm good for a core charge. You know, because I've not opened the **** head yet and read the CLEARLY LABELED INSTRUCTIONS. Seriously, whoever shipped it wrote in big sharpie RETURN LABEL UNDER LID. I flipped the lid, it was there ready to ship.
Anyway Dirk (DUARCK? DIIRK???) responded the same day and said we're good, usually they like to see it within 45 days but TAKE MY TIME AND BE SAFE. Excuse me? Do what?
Whatever, customer service is sick let's see how this engin-oh. EVERYTHING is included? I don't need my cams? Or valves? or HLA's??? For $500???
If you made it this far, you're already buying the parts. Just do it. You're dumb not to. These guys don't **** around, and neither do I. Too many people write reviews for '****' experiences, but oh my god. Dare I say I'd strip more spark plugs to go through this again....
ON A FORD.
