Received my p2f honda head, 2 exhaust manifold studs were not installed correctly and would not torque down properly, and one of the valve cover mounting holes was what appeared to be never touched, inside threads were nasty and so stripped out that I could just slide the bolt in and out with ease.

I’m not so happy about my purchase. I ordered the head it said around 5 day shipping and it ended up taking way longer. Which sucked because my car is a daily driver so I needed it sooner so I could drive it. Also the valves did not come adjusted at all, they were completely loose, also no seals included which is no big deal since I had them but still sucks. I tried adjusting the valves myself with a feeler gauge but there’s still very noticeable ticking coming brown the cylinder head. This would be no big deal but it costs hundreds of dollars to go get the valve lash adjusted when I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars in parts. To conclude I’m not very happy with my purchase. I would have liked to know that I would need to adjust the valves myself when buying this head(so I could buy one that comes adjusted, instead of waiting my time and having to spend even more money/ Honda quoted me $455 for just an adjustment).

Sorry as we are exetremly busy and have got a little behind in shipping. We shipped you order 3 days after order date and it traveled from Georgia to Arizona. We nor anyone else in the rebuilding industry adjusts lash before its installed on the car unless it has to be done with shims. Mechanical adjustment is to be done on the car to avoid potential piston to valve contact. If you were having an issue with being loose it must have been done incorrectly. Its a 30 minute job tops. Cam seals are also never installed on remanufactured heads as the seal is part of the gaskets.
