These are going on my hot rod so I was going to give the valves a light lapp for a positive seal,they all lapped in very quickly except for one,
The one that will not lapp in has a bent valve installed in it,it's a intake valve that contacts on a only half the valve seat approx .015 off the valve seat,
Could you please just send me a straight 1.840 intake valve for a 601 Chevrolet cylinder head and I will deal with this rather than sending the head back
I was also disappointed that only some of the valve guides were refurbished with bronze guides and others were apparently found to be of acceptable tolerances and were not brought up to new specs, really?,if your going to sell heads like that dont sell them as rebuilt heads,they are not as good fitting as they should be even on the basic finger suck vacume test,
It is what it is so if you could please send me a straight 1.840 intake valve to replace the bent valve that was included in my purchase of two rebuilt 601 cylinder heads would be much appreciated,
I'm sorry but clearly a case when people should count the dollars not the dimes,I could see where one cylinder head had a weld repair but looked like a nice repair,If you were close by I would return them
